Green grass tickled
Bare feet running
Dew sticking to ankles

Arcadians: Awakening in Nature is the 3rd poetry collection in the Arcadians series by Rhode Island poet, Katrina Thornley. It was inspired by the beauty and history of Rhode Island; specifically small rural towns like Exeter, West Greenwich, Richmond, Hopkinton, and Hope Valley. The words were written while sitting beside rivers and under trees, listening to the sound of the wind rustling through the leaves. Themes center around the passing of time, growth, love, and loss. Katrina Thornley is a Rhode Island based poet and author. She has published 3 poetry collections, a short story anthology, and a mystery novel entitled Kings of Millburrow. She is a freelance reporter and enjoys spending time in nature or among the pages of a good book.
